The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE TLC pay-per-view event that took place tonight (Sunday, December 16th, 2018) in San Jose, California at the SAP Center on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network:
WWE Raw Women’s Title Match: Ronda Rousey © vs. Nia Jax
Rousey was trying to land a series of quick strikes then rolled into an armbar until Jax powerbombed her to the mat. Jax with an elbow drop for 2 then sent her shoulder first into the ring post. Jax worked over the left shoulder of Rousey until Rousey locked in a headlock then transitioned into an ambar. Jax fought out by getting out of the ring and sending her into the barricade. Back in the ring, Jax missed a shoulder block and ate the ring post. Rousey with a crossbody off the top rope to the floor and then back in the ring, covered her for 2. Rousey with a series of strikes then a flying knee strike to the face. Rousey with a major league right hand for 2. Jax with a samoan drop to Rousey for 2. Jax picked her up and went to the middle rope but Rousey battled out and hit a sunset flip powerbomb to Jax for a near fall. Rousey blocked a punch and locked in the armbar for the win.
