The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV was the venue for the WWE WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference on Thursday night.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, WWE chose the T-Mobile Arena for a specific reason as they had The Rock there and were expecting a large crowd. The presser saw Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 be made official.
The report states, “We were told the reason they booked the T Mobile Arena was because Johnson [The Rock] would be there, because otherwise they would have booked a smaller building. The booking of the building was finalized weeks ago, before the McMahon controversy. As it turned out, they greatly overshot. Even with it being free and Johnson being there, the estimate was only 2,000 to 3,000 people were there, but they were very vocal.”
