Prior to the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin told Denise Salcedo that she was originally only scheduled to work one match at the show.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Mike Rome wasn’t able to work the show due to losing his voice. Due to this, Irvin ended up handling the ring announcer duties for the entire show.
