The WWE roster was certainly surprised by CM Punk making a reference to Vince McMahon during this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
On the show, Drew McIntyre spoke about being deemed the ‘Chosen One’ early into his WWE run before Punk asked who gave McIntyre the moniker. The answer to this is Vince McMahon.
Pwinsider is reporting that there was a “hush backstage” when Punk alluded to McMahon, but there was no fallout for the reference.
McMahon retired from WWE for the second time in January of this year following the shocking allegations against him, WWE, and others in Janel Grant’s lawsuit.
