On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Sami Zayn won a six-man gauntlet match to earn an Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 40.
Fightful Select is reporting that the order of eliminations was originally different, as the initial plan was for Bronson Reed and Ricochet to start the match.
Reed would defeat Ricochet before being eliminated by Zayn, who’d also defeat JD McDonagh and Shinsuke Nakamura to set up the finals with Chad Gable.
Instead, RAW saw Ricochet eliminate McDonagh to start things off before the One and Only was eliminated by Bronson Reed.
Reed would be eliminated by Zayn, who’d go on to eliminate Nakamura and Gable to win. The Canadian will now challenge GUNTHER next month.
