Shane Helms says Buff Bagwell’s narrative about him on this week’s episode of Dark Side of the Ring wasn’t true.
Tuesday’s episode of Dark Side of the Ring centered around Bagwell, and alleged that the former WCW wrestler confronted Helms at a WWE training session where the latter supposedly called him a drug addict.
Bagwell stated that he’d slapped Helms and turned his back to leave before Helms hit him back with a frozen water bottle, which required Bagwell to work his WWE RAW debut match with 24 staples in his head.
Bagwell was released from his contract following the infamously horrible match with Booker T, which saw WWE change their plans going into the WCW & ECW “invasion angle.”
Bagwell noted that WWE released him because he was blamed for hitting Helms first, which is something The Hurricane vehemently denied in a series of tweets after being tagged by a fan in a discussion.
Helms wrote,
“I didn’t [cost Bagwell his contract] either. Buff is a lying POS. Always has been. There were witnesses there and NONE agree with Buff.
“He used to blame Jim Ross too. Blamed everyone except the man in the mirror. Nothing wrong with failing at something, but accountability is key. Everyone associated with that episode of Dork Side can suck ass.”
“He literally just went on a show and told a bunch of lies. No more second chances from me.”
