The announcement of The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as the main event for WrestleMania 40 will take place this week at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event will be held on Thursday, February 8. Doors will open at 2:30 PM PST, and the press conference is scheduled to start at 4 PM PST.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the choice of venue indicates that WWE had been planning this match for a while and it wasn’t a last-minute decision.
This aligns with previous reports that stated the decision to have The Rock face Roman Reigns was made in early January when The Rock joined the TKO Board of Directors.
