#1. [Blind Eliminator Quarter Final] Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs. Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy — Winners: Allin & Cassidy
Darby Allin tells us the backstory of Nick Wayne and how he mentored him after losing his dad and trainer. He helped get him signed to AEW, and not out of sympathy, but because he is that damn good.
MJF and Adam Cole bond in the gym. After lifting, MJF fails to land some fat jokes directed at a larger fellow. They do however, get a good laugh at comparing him to Tony Schiavone. Following that, Adam Cole lifts at baffling speed to the point he makes MJF go “What the f—”
#2. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. The Blade & The Bollywood Boyz — Winners: The Acclaimed
Harley Cameron thinks it’s only fair to get what she deserves. She has made a video that she will show them on Friday which is sure to impress. Daddy Ass says he has only two words for her… suck it!
In the blind eliminator tournament, Matt Hardy gets Jeff Jarrett as his partner. He hates Jeff Jarrett.
Chris Jericho says it is a bittersweet night for him because he has picked up a lot of losses, and things haven’t gone his way. Perhaps he needs to make some changes. This is the perfect place to be reinvigorated in the province of Alberta. He started his pro wrestling career here. It feels like only yesterday when he started his training in Calgary with Stu Hart. He had his first match just an hour from here. So he got here a couple of days early. He drove up and down the highways and remembered what it was like when he first started wrestling. When it was everything to him. And it reminded him that wrestling still is everything to him.
Alberta is the place he feels resurrected. It’s time he becomes a better Chris Jericho. Perhaps even the best version… EVER! With that said, Don Callis makes his way to the ring. What he is hearing is that he needs a change. It was six years ago today in 2017, when he called him from Tokyo and asked if he would like to main event with Kenny Omega. He surprised him by saying “Oh Yeah!” and changed the course of pro wrestling history. Without that match, the fans and Chris Jericho wouldn’t be here. Jericho says in 2015 he helped Don get back in to the business, and look at him now. He’s more successful than ever.
Without him, he may not be here. Callis says they are in agreement. When they get together, they make history. He recently was betrayed by a cowardly punk called Kenny Omega, so he has to build a new family. His new family will be built on trust. When he thinks of trust, he thinks about the man who beat Kenny Omega, and his best friend of 34 years. He thinks about Chris Jericho. So if he is ready to change history one more time, then he is here to formally ask, will you join the Don Callis family? Chris Jericho asks if he is serious. He doesn’t join factions; he creates them. So if he is seriously asking this, he has a one-word answer. Maybe.
#3. [Blind Eliminator Quarter Final] MJF & Adam Cole vs. Matt Menard & The Butcher — Winners: MJF & Cole
Adam Cole pinned Menard after MJF asked to be tagged in. MJF grabs a mic and asks if there are any devil worshippers in tonight. We have any fans of the guy here with a super cool name? ADAM COLE BAY BAY! Because they are better than you, bay bay. MJF was wondering if they can have another bro session. What do you think Alberta? They agree. Cole reluctantly agrees. MJF has one last thing to tell him. Happy Birthday! MJF gets a happy birthday chant going.
Some backstage personnel enter with a cake and birthday hats. Cole says this is a lot. MJF is here to celebrate him, and now we have a birthday song. He sings Happy Birthday to Adam Cole, but it’s a bit much. MJF thinks he needs to make a wish. As Cole goes to blow out his candle, MJF tells us (to the camera) he will put Adam’s face in the cake. MJF tries, but Cole sees it coming and puts his face in the cake instead. The crowd chants, “piece of cake”. Adam Cole thanks his friend for everything he did for his birthday.
Backstage, Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia asks Chris Jericho about the JAS. He said that he gave Callis a “maybe”, but even if something happens, they had to go out on their own eventually. They seem to respect his wishes.
#4. [Owen Hart Cup] Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho (w/ The Outcasts) — Winner: Ruby Soho
#5. Kenny Omega vs. Wheeler Yuta — Winner: Kenny Omega
The Elite fend off the BCC. As Hangman Page begins swinging a steel chair, the Dark Order stops it by taking the chair from him. They walk away, and The Elite hold the ring to end the show.
