AEW Rampage Results (4/8/2022)

#1. Bryan Danielson vs. Trent Beretta — Winner: Bryan Danielson

– Hook is still not taking interviews. Danhausen jumps out at him from the trash, but the curse doesn’t work. Hook no sells it and throws half a packet of chips in with him. Danhausen picks up the chips and eats them to see if he will gain his powers.

– In the ring, Scorpio Sky says he got rid of the open challenge because he wants others to step up. Sammy Guevara tells him to shut the hell up. The man is meant to make the title, and at the moment he’s making it mean nothing. Him and Tay know what Dan Lambert are going to do, he’s going to say something offensive, but they’ve heard it all before. Lambert admits to being a sexist, but they should worry more about what they do in the ring, than what they do in the bedroom.

Sammy’s here for a match, so where it is? Ethan Page says he’s a pillar, which means there are cracks forming in this company as he’s a PR disaster. Sammy says until they get a match, they will make their lives a living hell. You think busting up their car was bad? Wait to see what they do next week.

– Chris Jericho names QT Marshall the Sports Entertainer of the Week. Congratulations!

#2. Swerve Strickland vs. QT Marshall — Winner: Swerve Strickland

Ricky Starks offer Strickland a tag team match for next week, with him & Powerhouse Hobbs against Strickland & Keith Lee.

#3. [Owen Hart Tournament Qualifier] Willow Nightingale vs. Red Velvet — Winner: Red Velvet

– Tony Nese is annoyed because the interviewer isn’t excited enough to see him, he’s a big deal around here. Mark Sterling agrees with everything he said, and he thinks Nese would do well with proper representation. Nese will think it over. Next up, we have the new ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta against Jon Moxley.

#4. Wheeler Yuta vs. Jon Moxley — Winner: Jon Moxley by knockout

Regal, Danielson and Moxley stare down a bloodied Yuta in disbelief. Out of respect, Regal extends his hand to Yuta for a handshake, and he accepts. It looks like Yuta has joined the stable after surviving an hellacious match with Moxley.
