Impact Wrestling Results (3/16/2021)

#1. FinJuice vs. XXXL — Winners: FinJuice

The Good Brothers make their way to the ring and make excuses, saying they weren’t prepared for their match at Sacrifice. Good Brothers say they want their titles back, and FinJuice tell ’em that’s fine, but they’ll have to wait as they are going back to Japan.

– Callihan repeats the fact that Trey Miguel doesn’t have the passion, nor does any of his students. Passion. He can’t get the job done. Tonight, he will embarrass Trey Miguel and make an example out of him. Passion.

– Scott D’Amore blames the Good Brothers for losing the tag team titles to New Japan, but they will be back next month. They need to go and put this right.

– Tommy Dreamers walks in and is disappointed they have no tag team titles. D’Amore says that yeah, they lost the titles to a company that has hated them for years. It’s like the company is going under, it’s not hard right? Just do it like what happened with Dreamer & Heyman twenty years ago. Hardcore Justice is coming up, and he guesses Tommy wants to show him how it’ done by booking the show? Funnily enough, Tommy already has a card set up and Scott approves it.

#2. Jake Something (w/ James Storm & Chris Sabin) vs. Rhino (w/ Violent By Design) — Winners: Rhino with The Gore

Post match, Violent By Design destroy Jake Something, James Storm & Chris Sabin.

– Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, Susan, Fire N Flava and Tenille Dashwood argue among themselves, but the Knockouts Champ tells them not to be cliche and find a way to get on the same page. And somehow it happens, but Dashwood doesn’t get to share her quote before everyone leaves.

#3. Rohit Raju vs. Shera — Winners: Rohit Raju

Willie Mack congratulates his friend Swann on winning the titles. Swann has something to say in the ring though.

Rich Swann’s Celebration

– Here comes the Unified Impact World Heavyweight Champion Rich Swann. He can’t lie, Sacrifice was possibly the hardest thing he has had to go through in his life. Swann has made his sacrifices. Saturday, he and Moose went out there and proved Impact is one of the best companies with the best talent. He may despise Moose and how he carries himself, but he respects Moose. At Sacrifice, it just seemed to be that ya boy Rich Swann was riding that stallion because he came out double champion. TWO! That’s unthinkable, unspeakable and he did it. He went out there Saturday and partied all night, Sunday, Monday and today.

In January he had a monkey on his back called Kenny Omega. He pinned him back then, but now it so happens it has come back around. On April 24th, Rich will come out here and rep Impact Wrestling as the unified champ and take on another company’s top champion. There will be no Good Brothers, a Moose or a Chris Sabin. This is one of the most important things to happen in the history of wrestling. At Rebellion, we will see who the real world champion, and the real best wrestler in the world is.

Here comes Don Callis. Wow. Rich has no idea how proud Don is right now. He sense a little hesitation but he likes to talk history. You know that Don is a huge Rich Swann guy. He fought to sign Rich Swann to Impact. When he broke his leg, he fought to make sure his family got that check as he’s integral to the company. It’s not like they have much in common, but he has an eye for talent. He fought to put Swann in the main event at Bound For Glory. A shiny toy he was so proud of.

He moves on to the subject of Kenny Omega and The Sheik. There will always be something you desire more, and in Don’s case it was Omega. Let’s be positive, he had a big night after winning the titles. But did he wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the One Winged Angel? At the end of the day, you can’t change history. At Hard To Kill he got One Winged Angel’d.

As much as Don loves Swann, Omega is just that much better. He’s a God of pro wrestling. That’s a fact. Think about this history, when Kenny pinned Okada. When he wrestled Moxley for the AEW title, he was there. And when you listen to him on commentary, do you know what you hear? ONE WINGED ANGEL! ONE WINGED ANGEL! And it’s over. And now Swann gets to be part of history. Someone gets to walk out with both belts. But Rich, my friend, the problem for him in this case, is that he has already written that history. Sleep well brother. Don leaves Swann completely bewildered.

– Tony & Tony are here plugging St. Patrick’s Day Dynamite. No insults thrown Impact’s way this time. Maybe Tommy Dreamer’s tweet got through to them?

– Brian Myers walks in on Eddie Edwards & Matt Cardona. He asks Myers what his problem is… he just doesn’t want him there! He wanted Impact to himself and doesn’t want to be associated with him anymore. Get out of here Cardona.

#4. Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, Susan, Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb with a K), Fire N’ Flava vs. Jordynne Grace, Jazz, ODB, Havok, Nevaeh & Alisha Edwards — Winners: Grace’s team with Jazz’s submission on Kimber Lee

– Ace Austin once again stands at the top of the X-Divison. It was pure poetry at Sacrifice, the inevitable way. He knocked TJP down a peg. But last week, Chris Bey says he lost to him. Josh Alexander takes exception to that, he’s the real #1 contender. TJP walks to the front of the line, but Austin tells him to go to the back. But Scott D’Amore has already agreed TJP will get his rematch, so he doesn’t need to wait in line.

#5. Sami Callihan vs. Trey Miguel — Winner: Sami Callihan with a package piledriver
