WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar did a ton of media interviews yesterday to promote his return to the UFC. As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Lesnar will be facing Mark Hunt at the UFC 200 pay-per-view event. The fight will be a “one-off” deal as Brock will be returning to WWE at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event in August. During one of his media appearances on Monday, Lesnar revealed how he got Vince McMahon’s approval to return to the UFC. Lesnar said,
“I said, ‘Listen, old man, we can do this the hard way or the easy way. I said, ‘Do you wanna arm-wrestle for it?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, what the hell.’ So, I ended up beating him and here we are.”
Lesnar also said that Vince McMahon “had no hesitation” in allowing him to fight, because he’s billed as a legitimate athlete and the return to the octagon can bring more legitimacy to WWE.
