Notable Wrestlers Missing from the Card
Note: This is not a full list of everyone on the roster who is not scheduled for the show. It excludes some people who wouldn’t have normally been expected to appear on the show for some fashion, such as some jobbers, injured talent, etc.
Missing Tag Teams Dark Order = Many great tag teams aren’t on the card as they failed to win either of the battle royales. That makes perfect sense. While I’m disappointed we can’t see The Acclaimed, Varsity Blonds, Dark Order and so on, there just isn’t enough space for everyone and the event is stacked as-is.
Brian Cage = Frankly, with how poorly he has been booked for so long, I’m really surprised his contract is extending. He’s someone I think could be a better fit in WWE, if they’re interested.
The House of Black / Death Triangle = My guess is this would have been on the card if Rey Fenix were able to return to action soon enough.
Jay Lethal = I’m curious why he wasn’t included in the ladder match. He hasn’t done much of anything. Maybe with the Ring of Honor purchase, he can lead a faction of those guys.
Lance Archer = After getting his title match against Adam Page a few weeks ago, it’s perfectly okay for Archer to take a back seat.
Miro = Where’s he been??
Santana and Ortiz = There’s a chance we see them involved in the Jericho/Kingston match.
Tony Nese = One of the many guys who was brought in and just disappeared. Remember, kids, AEW isn’t perfect, and just because you’re going to the alternative of WWE doesn’t mean you’re going to suddenly skyrocket past the midcard that you were before. I think Nese needs a tag team partner. Better yet, he should be put in a faction.
The Remaining Women’s Division = To be honest, with two title matches on the card and the Buy In match, I don’t think it’s crazy that we aren’t seeing Penelope Ford, The Bunny, Ruby Soho, Nyla Rose and some others here. This can’t be a 7 hour event.
