On Monday Feb 16th 2015 My night was made by Kayfabe Commentaries release of the 2nd installment of the “Back to the Territories” series!(Perfect timing as where I live in southren WV was buried ufer half a foot of snow!) A In-Depth engrossing look at the historic Mid-Atlantic area,by two men who knew her very very well,JJ Dillion and the docile Wallflower that is master James E. Cornette! They cover everything from the area’s wrestling roots in the 40’s and 50’s all the way up though the merger with Turner in late 88!

The Legacy of the patriarch “Big Jim”Crockett is covered in Depth, and the many changes that took place within the company upon his death in 1974! Starting out as a tremendous tag team hotbed This 3 and 1/2 hr tour deforce shoot interview details how men like Johnny Valentine & Wahoo Mcdaniel slowly turned the Virginia’s along with the Carolina’s into the hottest region for wrestling period. For both wrestlers and fans alike,by the later part of the decade!

How the “Dream”was bought in by Jimmy Crockett to book in 83 what that did for the gate and the boys as a whole is a large piece of the story as well, that topic gets plenty of camera time here! The supreme highs and a company on the brink of extiction it is all here! The period before, during, and after the turner takover! The mistakes that were made, and the money that was lost!

A real bonus of the program is all the 70’s Arena footage(from Corny’s own personal collection up for sale on Jim’s Website-Jim Cornnette.com!) A partial list includes Harley Race vs Dick Murdoch,Dory Funk Jr vs Johnny Weaver,Flair vs Steamboat(Gene Anderson special ref), & Flar & Valentine vs Orndoroff & Snuka! The 2 disc set is available for 25 dollars or as a streaming program for 20 bucks! (I watched the program on the WWN channel on my Roku device thru my tv!)

In closing whether you grew up on Mid-Atlantic or you just love the history of Wrestling this event is a must purchase! (Kayfabe Commentaries did not pay me for the above review, but God i wish they would,so somebody forward this to Sean Oliver Okay)
