UPDATE x 2: The “will he or won’t he” about Steve Austin’s appearance on RAW next week has taken another turn. WWE is now advertising the Texas Rattlesnake as appearing on the show before his live Stone Cold Podcast with Brock Lesnar.

WWE had initially announced Austin as appearing on the episode, but did not advertise him during or after RAW this week. Austin had then taken to Twitter and said that he was not appearing on RAW and had never been planned for it.

WWE.com’s new preview reads as follows:

As Brock Lesnar’s Go to Hell Tour winds its way toward Los Angeles, The Beast Incarnate’s infernal caravan will make a stopover on WWE’s flagship show, where a few Legends and Hall of Famers will join the ride.

WWE.com can confirm that the Oct. 19 Raw, scheduled to emanate live from Dallas — the home city of WrestleMania 32 — will not only feature a live appearance by Lesnar, but also WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ric Flair, as well as Lesnar’s Hell in a Cell opponent, The Undertaker.

Not only will this be the final Raw before The Beast’s Hell in a Cell contest with The Phenom, but the Go to Hell Tour will continue after Raw goes off the air, when Lesnar and Austin sit down for the latest edition of the “Stone Cold” Podcast, live on the award-winning WWE Network. See the final stop on The Beast’s road to Hell when Raw emanates live from Dallas on Oct. 19 at 8/7 C on USA Network!

UPDATE: Steve Austin posted the following on Twitter, confirming that he is not appearing on next week’s RAW, and will only be there to host the podcast with Brock Lesnar. Of course, plans can easily change with Austin already being backstage at RAW for the podcast. You can bet WWE will do their best to have him make a cameo on RAW but those talks haven’t begun just yet.

ORIGINAL: WWE did not advertise Steve Austin’s previously-announced appearance on next week’s episode of RAW. Austin was previously set to appear along with Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair on the broadcast ahead of his live Network podcast interview with Brock Lesnar.

The company hyped appearances by Flair and Michaels on RAW but made no mention of Austin appearing. He also doesn’t appear in the Twitter message posted by the company for next week’s episode:
