eWN’s Round Table Preview of AEW Revolution 2020

4) “If The Young Bucks win the tag titles, do you expect Hangman Adam Page to turn heel on Kenny Omega?”

MANGO: Maybe not at Revolution, but on the Dynamite to follow. I could see Page not wanting anything to do with congratulating The Young Bucks and the fallout happening another time as a means to get people to tune in on Wednesday in the hopes to see that implosion.

CARTER: I think if the Bucks go over, that’ll be the trigger for the ‘Elites imploding’ storyline that’s been brewing for months. I also think that Page will join the Dark Order.

STAPLE: Page has been teasing a heel turn for weeks now. A tag title loss would be the perfect precursor to finally ring him over to the dark side.

MITCHELL: I don’t see Hangman turning on Omega. I see him going Heel towards the Bucks yet still friends with Omega, to which Omega will be caught even more in the middle than he has been already.

ABSLER: If the Young Bucks win, I do think Adam Page will turn on Omega, but not directly after this match. I think they will try and regain the titles, or maybe explain why they lost on the following episode, and then it will take place.

SCAFIDE: Does everyone have to turn heel if they lose a tag match anymore? Na, Turn Omega heel. That’s some good Tatanka/Luger Summerslam 1994 stuff there. Twist turn ‘outta nowhere.

CASSADA: With the Hangman and Omega storyline, I think this could go a number of ways. Everyone thinks Page will be the one to turn heel, but AEW could pull a swerve and have Omega become heel. Eventually there will be a heel turn, I don’t see it happening if they lose the tag titles at Revolution. I feel like the storyline can be stretched a little further and create more suspense as fans await the inevitable heel turn.

COOK: This seems like the obvious booking, and was probably the way things were planned when the angle started. Page hadn’t really gotten over with the fans during the early months of AEW and seemed like he needed something to make that step up to the next level. He’s found it during this run teaming with Omega. The AEW fans are all about the Hangman doing cowboy stuff & drinking alcohol so he can put up with his dorky friends. I think AEW has been listening to the reaction, and will keep Page the way he is right now. He won’t attack his tag team partner unless he has a really good reason that fans can identify with.
