Dominique Ditmore is a female independent professional wrestler working under the ring-name of Dominique Fabiano. Fabiano is young, gifted and naturally talented. She has only been on the circuit for a couple of years and is consistently turning heads.
Work ethic, determination and charisma are the attributes of a successful career. Dominque is lightning quick and fearless when it comes to picking her opponent. Making it in the wrestling business isn’t an easy feat to accomplish. However, while putting her stamp on the business she has remained professional inside and outside of the squared circle. With looks, dexterity and agility she has fast became a top ring performer in one of the quickest time frames the wrestling world has ever seen.
By following the Independent Circuit and reading about the wrestlers and their storied careers, I am able to catch up with some of them to conduct an interview from time to time, which allows them to share with us their story. Recently I was able to catch up with Dominique and she was gracious enough to put a halt to her busy schedule to discuss his career, future, and accomplishments. This is what she had to say.
* When did your pro wrestling career begin? Where did your training take place?
I started training August 4th 2014 and my training took place at the amazing House of Truth Wrestling School in Michigan.
* What federations have you worked for along the way? Which one/ones were an integral part of advancing your career?
IWA Mid-South, XICW, NWA-SEW, Insane Wrestling Revolution, CWE, GirlFight, MWA, ARW, RCW, MCWA, Emerge, UPW, PPW, UCW, Clash, VCW, BombShells Of Wrestling, World BigTime Wrestling, Apex and NorthWest Ohio Championship Wrestling.
The most career advancing promotions I’ve worked for as far as experience and connections have been Insane Wrestling Revolution, XICW and IWA Mid-South!
* How did you decide on “The Dark Angel” name?
I always loved Victoria Secrets fashion shows with their beautiful wings. My original thought was to portray that look and the wings seemed like a perfect fit leading into the “dark angel”!
* How could you explain the life on an independent wrestler?
In my opinion it varies greatly! Some people enjoy doing one local show a month to have fun and some train every week and wrestle at 3-4 shows a weekend as a career or while trying to make it their career.
My schedule right now (including driving) is Monday train from 3:30pm-2am, Tuesday 12pm-10pm, Wednesday 12pm-9pm and shows 2-3 days a week!
* Were there any obstacles on your journey to the ring?
My biggest obstacle has been with an abdominal tear and two hernias that have built up scar tissue now.
* What are your thoughts on the current status of Women’s Wrestling?
It is definitely on a major rise! People are taking women wrestlers more serious now than before!
* What would be some opponents you would like to step into the ring with?
Mickie James, Santana Garrett, Cherry Bomb, Kelly Klein, Solo Darling, Taeler Hendrix and Heidi Lovelace!
* What is your most memorable match?
My first match with Paul Bowser at Rhinos Charity Show in Michigan and my 2nd most memorable match was with Angel Dust at WBW in Ohio.
* Who are/were some your favorite wrestlers and why?
AJ Lee and Lita. I love both of their non-traditional type of characters. It’s something different and unique!
* What needs to be accomplished in your eyes to be able to look back and call your career a success when it’s all over?
To have travelled all around the world, be able to live on my income from wrestling and sign with a promotion such as ROH and/or WWE!
