I have been a wrestling fan for a long time, and I just don’t get a lot of what I am seeing online.
Some people seem to think that either Orton or HHH walk out as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and I think think there just north of zero chance of either. The only thing that would make it less likely is if they were not on the card. Let me elaborate.
I think you could make an argument for the idea that Batista walks out as the champ. You would be wrong, but you could make the argument. He came in for what was supposed to be the super-pop. He won the Rumble. He is a good friend of HHH which seems to be a silver spoon.. Yada, Yada, Yada… I get it, but it’s not gonna happen.
HHH screwed Bryan at SummerSlam. Why is this important? Two reasons.
First, they have built a story line of Bryan being held back for EIGHT MONTHS. They had the perfect chance to let him break through at the Rumble, but they let the crowd take over the show rather than calling an audible and giving Bryan his spot. Why not? The only plausible explanation is they wanted to get him as over as possible (mission accomplished) and then put him over the top at Mania. If he leaves as champ, the crowd of 75,000 will literally raise the roof. I would not be shocked if the crowd the stormed the ring in celebration and WWE let them do it.
Second. To really get the big payoff.. I mean the one where they need to fix the cracks in the concrete just from the percussion of the crowd… Bryan has to take HHH to the limit and overcome him first.. They say payback is a female dog folks.. HHH has to get what’s coming to him. Then, Bryan has to go on to win the title. YES! YES! YES! YES!…
I can’t see it going any other way….. Can you?
