Update On The WrestleMania 40 Gate, ‘Taker Wants R-Truth To Get His Own ‘Variety’ Show

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker says he’d like to see WWE Tag Team Champion R-Truth do his own “variety” show.

Speaking on a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, The Deadman gave high praise to R-Truth. He said,

“What about R-Truth, how entertaining is he? They need like an R-Truth variety show. Especially you know with Judgment Day, this complete oddity that gets intertwined in their story that just makes them so frustrated. It’s so good. Dominik, my goodness! You haven’t had that kind of heel in so long right? That just carries that kind of heat.”

According a report by JohnWallStreet, this year’s WWE WrestleMania 40 pay-per-view event event brought $38.5 million in ticket sales. That is a 78% increase over WrestleMania 39 and a 147% increase from the gate figure for WrestleMania 38.

WWE WrestleMania 39 had a reported gate of $21.6 million, while WrestleMania 38 had a $15.6 million gate.

WrestleMania 40 (Night One) also had an announced attendance of 72,543, with 72,755 people for Night Two. The total attendance was 145,298 people.
