This article will feature statistics from post Wrestlemania.

The Meta Powers (Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow) vs. The
Ascension (Konnor and Viktor)

With the Ascension having history of slating past stars, it makes sense for them to face Axel and Mandow. However I’m not buying this Meta Powers gimmick. Sandow was so over after he attacked the Miz and lets face it, this new team isn’t going anywhere.

Macho Mandow – Wins: 2 Loses: 2 Draws:1
W/L: 0

Curtis Axel – Wins: 0 Loses: 4 Draws: 1
W/L: -4

Konnor – Wins: 0 Loses: 3 Draws: 0 W/L:
-3

Viktor – Wins: 0 Loses: 3 Draws: 0 W/L:
-3

Prediction: Since the Meta Powers is new I expect them to win here. The Ascension seem very low on WWE’s radar at the minute so expect to welcome another loss to the wasteland.

John Cena (c) vs. Rusev (with Lana)

This will be their final encounter and what better way than to end it with an I Quit match. The only time remember Cena ever saying I Quit was in 2005 and JBL made him say it, however Cena won there match. Despite never being a Cena fan, I’d like him to retain here. He’s been involved in the best matches since Wrestlemania and I would like to see the US challenge continue. I’ll still be singing John Cena sucks during his entrance though! Haha.

John Cena – Wins: 7 Loses: 1 Draw: 0 W/L:6

Rusev – Wins: 2 Loses: 2 Draw 0 W/L: 0

Prediction: This is the least predictable I Quit match involving Cena, especially after nearly being defeated by Neville clean on Raw. I see this going one of two ways. Cena will cleany defeat Rusev OR… Rusev will screw over Cena by threatening to hit Lana if Cena doesn’t quite. Kinda similar to how he brought back the Authority. Mostly likely is a Cena win though.

King Barrett vs. Neville

Neville has been booked tremendously since being called up to the main roster and this will be a very good match. Neville beat Barrett at Extreme Rules and Barrett beat Neville at King of the Ring so this is the decider.

King Barrett – Wins: 6 Loses: 6 Draw 0
W/L: 0

Neville – Wins: 9 Loses: 5 Draw: 0 W/L: 4

Prediction: This is one of the hardest to call on the ppv, so I believe it could go either way. As you can see Neville’s record is incredible so I think Barrett needs the win more If I was forced to choose I would go with a King Barrett win.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus

Not much been added to this feud since Extreme Rules and I’m not sure what they’re doing with Sheamus. 6 wins and 6 defeats shows that theyaren’t giving him a push since his return. He’s just a guy who doesn’t like little guys and sports a mohawk. Ziggler will do what he always does and thats perform well and sells like a beast.

Dolph Ziggler – Wins: 6 Loses: 5 Draw: 0
W/L: 1

Sheamus – Wins: 6 Loses: 6 Draw: 0 W/L: 0

Prediction: Despite having to kiss Sheamus’ arse at Extreme Rules he still won the match so I think Sheamus will get the win here and that is probably the right way to go. A loss won’t hurt Dolph at all.

The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) (c) (with Xavier Woods) vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro (with Natalya)

New Day has been so entertaining since turning heel and infact they are great heels because I really hate them! Still not entirely sure whether the
freebird rule is in affect here since Xavier has been carrying the title though. Kidd and Cesaro are my favourite tag team so I would prefer to see them win the titles back but regardless I see this feud going to another ppv.

Tyson Kidd – Wins: 4 Loses: 6 Draws: 0 W/L: -2

Cesaro – Wins: 4 Loses: 7 Draws: 0 W/L: -3

Big E – Wins: 7 Loses: 4 Draws: 0 W/L: 3

Kofi Kingston – Wins: 7 Loses: 3 Draws: 0
W/L: 4

Prediction: It’s too early for New Day to be losing the titles here in all honesty. There stats are terrific so WWE obviously rate them highly. They may keep the titles for a long time.

Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt

I still don’t get this rivalry. Why did Wyatt attack Ryback again? They’ve mentioned Ryback’s injuries but not really explained why Wyatt wants to take Ryback out. I know Wyatt can talk in riddles sometimes but a clear message would be appreciated to get me interested in this.

Ryback – Wins: 7 Loses: 3 Draws: 0 W/L: 4

Bray Wyatt – Wins: 2 Loses: 0 Draws: 0
W/L:2

Prediction: Both of these have nice win/loss records so I would be suprised if this ended cleanly. I think Wyatt will get himself disqulified resulting in a Ryback victory.

Naomi and Tamina vs. The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella)

The Bella Twins love each other, then hate each other, then love each other again and change face to heel just as much. Therefore I really don’t care for The Bellas, they’ve given me no reason to cheer for them at all. I do however like the team of Tamina and Naomi, it makes perfect sense since they are family are chances are Tamina really would think that Naomi is underutilised. Very happy to see Tamina back since she does make for a very good bodyguard and a decent wrestler.

Naomi – Wins: 7 Loses: 2 Draws: 0 W/L: 5

Tamina – Wins: 1 Loses: 0 Draws 0 W/L: 1

Brie Bella – Wins: 0 Loses: 5 Draws: 0
W/L: -5

Nikki Bella – Wins: 2 Loses: 2 Draws: 0
W/L 0

Prediction: I’m gunna go with the Bella Twins on this one, their stats are less than impressive and Brie is basically the divas division jobber, but Naomi losing would add to her frustration which leads to her winning the title in the very near future.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton

I’m so glad Ambrose was added to this one, I’m far more excited for this match now and the tension between him and Reigns has been great storytelling. Poor Orton has been lost in the shuffleas the former Shield members have taken most of the spotlight on this one so I would be surprised if Orton won the title here. He does need to move on from Rollins now though. It seems inevitable that Reigns will eventually be WWE champion, not sure when though and as I’m not a big fan, I’d rather Reigns didn’t win this one! Stats wise Rollinsis the underdog, despite being champion he only has a W/L record of 1. He’s been all over the product though so the weasel champion will be hard to beat on this one.

Seth Rollins – Wins: 6 Loses: 5 Draws: 1
W/L: 1

Roman Reigns – Wins: 8 Loses: 2 Draws: 1
W/L: 6

Dean Ambrose – Wins: 6 Loses: 3 Draw: 2
W/L: 3

Randy Orton – Wins: 8 Loses: 2 Draws: 1
W/L: 6

Prediction- I think Kane is only involved in this match to add doubt that Rollins won’t leave with the title, but I
think he will, probably pinning someone after another dishes out a finisher. The only chance of Rollins losing the title is if they wanna put him against a face Kane for awhile. I do think that’s unlikely since it seems like he has a date with Lesnar at Summerslam.

Top 5 Faces (w/l records)

Randy Orton/Roman Reigns – 6

John Cena – 6

Neville – 4

Ryback – 4

Dean Ambrose – 3

The fact that Neville has a higher record than ambrose and the same as ryback implies they have big plans for him and it’s good to see a fresh face up there.

Top 5 Heels (w/l records)

Kofi Kingston – 4

Big E – 3

Bray Wyatt – 2

Seth Rollins – 1

The Miz – 1

The top heels show how big the New day have become since Mania. It also look like Rollins may need a few more wins to come across as a legitimate main eventer.

I would appreciate your feedback on the statistics part of the article. I find them really interesting but the readers are always right. 😀

Much appreciated.
