According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA Wrestling is aggressively pursuing new talent as they head towards their debut on Pop TV in January. The brand is now officially off of Destination America.

TNA lost a ton of talent in 2015, including Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, James Storm, Kenny King, MVP, among others. Other names, such as Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, have their contracts set to expire in the next few months.

The Observer states that TNA is interested in both re-signing those that are facing expiration on their current deals, as well as pursuing outside free agents to help freshen up the brand. The company re-signed several talents last year prior and shortly following their debut on Destination America.

One of the motivations for TNA’s desire to seek out free agents is to have a few surprises for the company’s debut on Pop TV January 5. This was a similar approach to the debut of Impact on Monday nights in 2010.

TNA apparently wants their talents to be free and clear of any contractual obligations, and not also under a deal to New Japan Pro Wrestling. It was said that isn’t necessarily a deal breaker in some situation. As of this writing a couple of names being mentioned are Goldberg as well as TNA original AJ Styles.
