WWE NXT (7/15) Results: NXT Women’s Championship Match

Welcome to NXT, we are shown a video package hyping tonight’s main event of Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks.

We kick things off in the tag team division.

Tag Team Match: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. Elias Sampson and Steve Cutler

Chad Gable and Steve Cutler start things off, Cable with a some mat wrestling to begin the match. Cutler backed Gable into the corner, where he tagged in Sampson, who beat him down in the corner with kicks. Sampson hit a powerslam to cable for 2. Moments later, Cable fought back with an arm drag and got the hot tag to Jordan. Jordan with a clothesline to Culter then tagged in Cable. They hit a double team back suplex for the win.

Winner: Cable and Jordan.

-Commercial Break-

Samoa Joe walked down to the ring.

Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Axel Tisher

Joe worked the left arm of Tisher then landed a series of chops to the chest of Tisher. Joe with a knee drop. Moments later, Joe hits the Muscle Buster than the rear-naked choke for the win.

Winner: Joe.

A special video package is shown to hype up Baron Corbin.

Eva Marie walked out to the stage. She said that she’s excited to see everyone in NXT. She will be making her NXT debut next week, “so get ready those horns ready, because all red everything is coming.”

Tag Team Match: Blake and Murphy vs. Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton

Murphy and Dawkins started things off, Dawkins with a some stiff right hands then a drop kick. Murphy cut him off with a big boot, then tagged in Blake, where he put the boots to Dawkins in the corner. Blake and Murphy beatdown Dawkins in the corner. Blake knocked Fulton off the apron so that Murphy could hit a suplex on Dawkins then tag in Blake, who hit a frog splash off the top rope for the win.

Winners: Blake and Murphy.

Post-match, Murphy and Blake beatdown Dawkins. Bliss then hit the sparkle splash with some help from Blake and Murphy.

Sami Zayn walked down to the ring with a sling on his arm. He cut a promo about how he might has been out for awhile, he has not forgotten the fans. He said that he would not be returning to in-ring competition until next year. Sami said his goal is to come back better than ever and get the NXT Title back.

NXT Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks © vs. Charlotte.

A slow start to this one. Charlotte with a head takeover, which made Banks mad. Banks with a knee to the ribs of Charlotte. Charlotte reversed an irish whip and then hit a series of head takeovers. Charlotte went to the apron, but ate a knee to the gut by Banks. This leads to Banks hitting a double knee drop to the midsection of Charlotte for a near fall.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Banks in control of Charlotte. Moments later, Charlotte fought out of a headlock and hit a sick powerbomb. They exchange forearm shots. Charlotte with a neck breaker followed by a spear for 2. Charlotte went for a suplex, but blocked and Banks rolled her up for 2. Banks with a neck breaker for 2. Banks slapped Charlotte, which fired up Charlotte and she landed a flurry for strikes. Banks with a big boot, but Charlotte with one of her own. Charlotte went for the figure eight, but Banks rolled her up for 2. Banks got upset and started yelling at the referee. Banks went for the figure four, but blocked and Charlotte locked in the figure four, but Banks got to the ropes to break the hold. Back i the ring, Charlotte tried a roll up, but only got 2. Charlotte went for a slam, but blocked and Banks hit the Bank Statement for the win.

Winner and still champ: Banks.

Post-match, Banks and Charlotte were crying because of their performances. They hugged it out in the ring to close the show.
