ORIGINAL: Adam Cole’s WWE NXT contract is slated to expire later this month after SummerSlam. The original deal expired after the Great American Bash show, but he signed an extension.
WWE and Cole wanted to keep things quiet, but word had spread throughout the company by the end of July.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cole and WWE are negotiating, but AEW has also made a contract offer to the former NXT Champion.
UPDATE: Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that he was told by AEW President Tony Khan that he has not made a contract offer to Adam Cole.
