We cut to Renee Moxley Good who is backstage with Jungle Boy and Darby Allin, discussing their upcoming Four Pillars tag-team match tonight, which could have massive ramifications for AEW Double or Nothing and the AEW World Championship.

After Adam Cole’s attack, we see Chris Jericho complaining backstage. Suddenly, Britt Baker approaches and slaps Jericho, who falls down.

The Blackpool Combat Club is roaming the halls as Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley deliver a stern message to The Elite. Mox hypes up his ‘Steel Cage’ bout with Kenny Omega on Dynamite next week.

#2. Saraya vs. Willow Nightingale – Winner: Saraya

There’s the usual distractions and the win and the post-match beatdown. As The Outcasts assault Willow, Hikaru Shida runs out, but instead of making the save, flashes an evil smile. She is handed the spray paint by The Outcasts and almost goes on to defile Willow, before Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter come up behind The Outcasts.

Shida then spray paints in The Outcasts’ eyes and Shida, Baker and Hayter layeth the smackdown upon them. Shida spray paints an ‘L’ on them, as the babyfaces celebrate as they outsmart the heels.

In a backstage vignette, The House of Black lays down the ‘open house’ challenge for their AEW World Trios Championships. They introduce a special set of rules for their matches before concluding with, “The House always wins. Welcome to the open house!”

#3. Tres de Mayo Trios Battle Royal – Winners: The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass

Renee Moxley Good is backstage with Sammy Guevara. She asks him about MJF’s recent actions, including pretending his car was full when it wasn’t on last week’s show. MJF enters the scene, but Sammy interrupts him.

Sammy informs MJF that he watched last week’s show and there was no one in the car. MJF puts on a show of crying and explains his back issue flared up last week, which he didn’t want Sammy to know about. He admits he needed to lay down but didn’t want to seem weak.

Sammy kisses MJF on the forehead and assures him that he never doubted him. The two then share a “friends hug” moment, expressing relief at having resolved the issue.

Backstage, Kenny Omega, with Don Callis, issues a warning to Jon Moxley ahead of their Steel Cage match next week.

#4. Wardlow vs. Enhancement Talent – Winner: Wardlow

Following the match, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus walk down to the ramp. Christan surprisingly announces that it is he, not Luchasaurus, who is gunning for the TNT Championship.

We head to The Briscoe Farm for a VTR package involving Mark Briscoe, Papa Briscoe, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh. JJ & J are gunning for FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Championships for Double or Nothing, while Briscoe will be in action this Friday o Rampage.

#5. Ricky Starks vs. Juice Robinson – Winner: Ricky Starks

After the match concludes, Jay White enters the ring and attacks Starks from behind. However, Starks manages to fight back and almost hits White with a Ro-Sham-Bo before Robinson intervenes and pulls White away to prevent any further damage. The two then retreat backstage while Starks remains standing in the ring.

Jungle Boy and Darby Allin are encouraging each other. Darby heads towards the ring while Mr. Boy remains behind. Suddenly, MJF enters and shuts the door. He makes a final attempt to bribe Mr. Boy.

However, Mr. Boy refuses MJF’s offer. As Mr. Boy declines, Darby enters the room. Mr. Boy extends his fist for a fist bump, but Darby hesitates and doesn’t reciprocate, implying he doesn’t trust Mr. Boy anymore.

#6. MJF & Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin & “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry – Winner: Darby Allin & “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry

The finish saw Sammy superkick MJF. Jungle By tried to roll him up but Sammy kicked out. He went for a lariat off the ropes but Darby blind-tagged him. Mr. Boy did not realize and went for the cover.

Darby went for the Coffin Drop on both Sammy & Boy, with Boy spotting him and getting out of harm’s way at the last moment. Darby pinned Sammy as Boy looked on.

 

MJF vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry for the AEW World Championship is made official for AEW Double or Nothing, as MJF looks irate on his way back on the ramp.
