AEW Tag Team Champions FTR vs. The Young Bucks took place at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place. The stipulation coming into the contest was if Young Bucks didn’t win, they can’t challenge for tag titles again.
FTR worked over Matt in the early going until he got a tag to Nick who landed some moves before Matt got back into it. Matt was selling his ankle. Harwood somehow cut open his hand. Moments later, Nick got the hot tag and hit a clothesline bull dog combination.
Back in the ring, FTR took back over until Matt hit a spear to Wheeler and Nick followed up with a knee strike to the face. Wheeler speared Nick off the apron after hitting a double team bulldog off the top rope. Nick hit super kicks to both champions. Bucks hit 3D and then Nick followed up with the swatom bomb to Harwood for 2.
Harwood with a rebound powerbomb to Nick. Matt with a series of strikes then a super kick to the gut. FTR hit a double knee strike to Matt’s head for 2. They did duel sharpshooters to the champions. Wheeler was tapping out on the ramp, but the referee didn’t see it. Nick caught Harwood with a knee strike to the jaw Bucks hit the BTE trigger for 2 as Wheeler broke it up. Nick sent Harwood to the floor then hit a wild dive off the top rope.
FTR hit a double piledriver to Matt, who got his foot on the rope. Nick hit a 450 splash to Harwood to break up a submission hold for 2. Nick hit Wheeler with a super kick. Matt with a super kick to Harwood for the win.
