The AEW on TV Twitter account sent out a tweet earlier today and it received some backlash from several fans.
The original tweet, which has now been deleted, featured a photo of a group of people going to an AEW booth and ignoring another booth that said “therapy”. Some people took that as mocking those with mental illness, while others said it was no big deal. The photo was captioned with,
“Therapy is really good for you. So is @AEW.”
You can check out some of the fan responses below:
AEW is the future of wrestling, but they need to stop being VILE PIECES OF SHIT on social media and start being professionals! Act your age!
Translation of the image: If you're suffering from depression, mental disorders, trauma, or WORSE, then tune in to AEW instead of therapy! pic.twitter.com/DysHUvhvwJ

AEW **AND** Therapy are BOTH good for the soul and that's a deep drive to left field by Castellanos. That's a home run and it's a 4-0 ballgame.

Not defending it… fully but watch AEW is one of my highlights of the week. Usually makes me happy, which is something that everyone should have… but I should probably still seek therapy

Cher, it all depends on the person. I go to therapy weekly and it has helped in many areas, but no matter what it CANNOT bring the same happiness as AEW brings me. https://t.co/EXq2TGyv03
