William Regal is expected to make his return to WWE following a short run with AEW. As noted, Regal is finalizing a WWE deal with the expectation that he will officially start with the company after the New Year in a backstage role.
Regal was written out of storylines last week on Dynamite when he was stretchered out after being attacked by MJF.
EC3 recently made headlines in an interview with Sportskeeda’s Wrestling Outlaws when he stated, “When he [Regal] went over to AEW, the word was, he said, ‘I immediately regret this decision, there’s very much a maturity issue here within management.”
When Busted Open Radio’s Justin LaBar wrote on Twitter what he had heard about the backstage climate regarding Regal’s advice to AEW talent, one star responded and that was Brian Pillman Jr.

This is not entirely true. There are several of us, myself included, who spent multiple hours before TV working with Regal and learning from him. Should there have been more? Maybe, but he and Danielson always had a solid audience around the ring before TV.

I know you said “some”, I just didn’t want the narrative to be that he was just standing there preaching to the air. Some days there would be 10 guys out there soaking it in, some days it would just be me and wheeler and Lee. I didn’t mind when his attention wasn’t spread as thin
