On Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Swerve Strickland successfully defended his AEW World Championship title in an impromptu match.

Earlier in the night, Strickland talked about his title win at AEW Dynasty 2024 and issued an open challenge, which was accepted by Claudio Castagnoli.

The two wrestlers faced off in the main event, and Strickland ultimately won with his signature Swerve Stomp and House Call finishers.

Strickland has been champion for six days after winning the title from Samoa Joe at Dynasty 2024 last Sunday.

Also on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, RUSH made his highly anticipated return to the ring after recovering from an injury that kept him out of action for several months.

The Mexican wrestler faced off against Martin Stone in a winning effort.

After the match, RUSH exhibited his dominance by hitting Stone with a corner dropkick.

RUSH had been sidelined since December due to a torn hamstring. However, he resumed wrestling in Mexico in February.

RUSH was reportedly away from AEW due to a visa issue.
