Will Ospreay wrestled his first match under his full-time AEW contract at Revolution 2024 and he gained tremendous praise from wrestling legends.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that both Ric Flair and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat spoke highly of Ospreay’s victory over Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution 2024.
Additionally, it was the first time both Flair and Steamboat had seen Ospreay wrestle live.
According to a top AEW wrestler, Flair and Steamboat had heard of Ospreay and were aware of his excellence, but hadn’t seen him wrestle until AEW Revolution 2024.
Both wrestling legends were reportedly “blown away” by how good Ospreay was in the ring and how great the match was.
Flair in particular said Ospreay was “unbelievable.”
