Alicia Taylor’s powerful metal voice has become a signature part of her announcing style. Taylor has been flaunting her unique, deep, vocal tone since she began working as an announcer for WWE in 2019.
In an interview with Real Radio Monsters, Taylor recalled having difficulties with finding her tune on WWE NXT TV until Triple H asked her to use her God-gifted metal voice. She said,
“It just never felt right to me. And then Triple H came over to me one day at rehearsal and he goes, ‘Hey, aren’t you a metal singer?’ And I said, ‘Yeah?’ He says, ‘Then give me your f**king metal voice!’ And I said, ‘Okay well, if I’ve got Triple H’s approval, then I’ll do that.”
Triple H asked Taylor to “use her metal voice” when introducing wrestlers for a 10-women tag team match on the March 14th episode of Monday Night RAW. This is not the first time that Triple H had asked Taylor to use her metal voice. The Game had also asked her to showcase her vocal prowess during WrestleMania 32, NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, and other landmark shows.
