Six-man tag:
The crowd was really hot for Dolph Ziggler and bored with everyone else. Very
little heat for Cesaro. Every time an Uso was in the ring, the crowd was
chanting for a Ziggler tag.

Lots of boos for the Today show women and the
general pointlessness of their appearance. The crowd booed again later on when
they announced next week’s “special guest,” which is someone from Atlanta
Housewives. Time to ditch this special guest nonsense unless they have a major
celebrity who people actually care about.

Bo Dallas wasn’t over at all
(to my disappointment) and the crowd didn’t seem to find that finish and his
reaction as hilarious as I did.

The crowd seemed baffled by the Roman
Reigns segment. They hyped it all night on the big screen and I think most
people definitely thought he was going to be there live. Then Michael Cole stood
up and said it was time for the interview via satellite, asked one question,
Reigns answered, and that was it. I don’t know what happened on TV, but live,
Reigns was only on the screen for like 30 seconds and said basically nothing.
Bizarre.

The crowd revolted pretty hard against the Mini Gator vs. El
Torito match. Non-stop mocking chants, including an arena-wide “This is stupid!”
that probably was heard clearly on TV. (It was really, really stupid… one of the
worst Raw segments I’ve seen in a while.)

The Rock. What can I say? The
crowd went absolutely nuts… dwarfed any other pop of the night. Hell, it
probably dwarfed all the other pops combined. It’s pretty rare to get any true
surprises these days, but I didn’t hear anything about him being there, and
everyone in my area seemed genuinely shocked (not sure if news of him being
there leaked before the show or not but no one I talked to had any idea). It was
really cool to be there for that. And he was in fine form.

Damien Sandow
was over HUGE. This was the surprise of the night for me, as far as fan
reactions. I’m talking like non-stop chants, throughout the entire Miz vs.
Sheamus match. Every kind of Sandow-related chant you can think of. Big pops for
the two or three times he got in a cheap shot on Sheamus. He was doing some
hilarious stuff outside the ring too and playing up to the crowd. I don’t know
how they can parlay this gimmick into something bigger, but the fans (at least
in Brooklyn) absolutely love this guy, and presumably want to see bigger things
from him.

The crowd was relatively dead for the final segment. It seemed
like a combination of exhaustion, a bit of a letdown feeling since nothing was
going to top The Rock, boredom with Randy Orton and Kane, and the fact that we
had already seen both John Cena and Dean Ambrose multiple times.

Overall,
a fun night, with The Rock obviously being the highlight. Nothing really
memorable in terms of wrestling, though.
