WWE’s Asuka is here to stay with the promotion, despite a recent report that she is seeking her release from the company.
Asuka, formerly Kana, signed with WWE in 2015 and is a former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Champion, as well as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
The Japanese Superstar is also the only woman to have won a Royal Rumble match, a Money in the Bank Ladder match, and an Elimination Chamber match.
Responding to a claim that she has asked for her release from WWE, Asuka tweeted:
Is this world full of lies?
Or is it full of shit? https://t.co/TAMfCaT6TA pic.twitter.com/shfFVnQNSG— ASUKA / 明日華 (@WWEAsuka) April 29, 2023
Asuka hasn’t competed on WWE TV since her WrestleMania 39 loss to RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
