Last Saturday night’s AEW Fyter Fest event, which took place from The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, drew 4,200 paid fans. There were 5,000 total people inside the arena with comps (radio/TV, etc. promotions).

As many of you know, the show streamed for free on B/R Live. It was said to have brought in about 140,000 people (average minute rating). That means that around 350,000 people total, if you don’t count people twice, tuned in at some point live to see the show.

Because the stream was live, it was more likely that fans would tune in and out, instead of a pay-per-view event where people watch the entire show that they spent money on. According to Dave Meltzer, B/R Live had 300,000 new subscribers due to Fyter Fest. The original goal was for 110,000.

Also, the walk-up (late ticket sales) was said to be “not that significant.” Of course, the show was connected to the CEO gaming convention which was in town during the same weekend.

Outside of North America, the show did 14,000 iPPV buys. That number is down from Double or Nothing, which drew 20,000. With that being said, no one expected numbers close to the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event for obvious reasons. This show wasn’t nearly as big and wasn’t as heavily promoted. Also, Double or Nothing aired on ITV Box Office and Fyter Fest didn’t. iPPV buys were up since iPPV was the only way UK fans could get it.

AEW’s next show is AEW Fight for the Fallen, which takes place on July 13th at the Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida. The event will also stream for free on B/R Live in the US and Canada. It will be on FITE TV for $12.99 or £8.99 in the UK.
