As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Impact Wrestling had been attempting to bring in several new talents and the plan was to have them debut at Saturday night’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view event, which took place at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

Former WWE Superstar Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman) had been in talks with the company, but he did not wind up appearing on last night’s show. While the two sides continue to talk, no deal has been reached as of this writing.

According to a report from Fightful, Impact Wrestling was also looking to bring in former WWE NXT Superstar Jonah Rock (Bronson Reed). At one point, Rock was booked for Bound for Glory but he was later unbooked. As of this writing, there is no word on why the deal fell through. It’s worth noting that NJPW “made a big play” to sign him.

Impact Wrestling officials also contacted former WWE Superstar Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt). With that being said, he would not have been available to appear at last night’s Bound for Glory event due to his WWE non-compete clause still being active. Also, a deal for Wyatt to come to Impact Wrestling “was never close to happening.”
