Here are some backstage news and notes from last week’s AEW Dynamite broadcast at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

All of the talent and crew who were in attendance at the TV tapings were there voluntarily. As previously reported here on eWn, AEW President Tony Khan told the entire roster that if they weren’t comfortable traveling or performing, they could sit out the event and still be paid. He also noted that nobody would lose their pushes by doing so. According to Pwinsider, all of the talent and staff in attendance wanted to attend and work the event.

As of this writing, AEW wants to continue holding live events each week. With that being said, they are aware the situation could change very quickly with the coronavirus pandemic. The company is well aware that they may not be able to hold another live TV show next week. As of now, the Blood & Guts match is likely going to be pushed back.

Matt Hardy debuted on AEW Dynamite and has joined the Blood & Guts match. He will be replacing Nick Jackson. This is because Jackson and his wife are expecting a new child soon.

Brodie Lee has always been planned to become The Exalted Once despite the teases for Matt Hardy. The teases were done on purpose to try and swerve the fans.

AEW Dark was reportedly filmed before last night’s Dynamite Broadcast. While the results are unavailable obviously, Sugar Dunkerton is said to have worked the AEW Dark TV taping.
