CM Punk made his return to AEW on last night’s episode of Dynamite during the main event. The current AEW World Champion came out to make the save for Jon Moxley after the latter was attacked by the Jericho Appreciation Society.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Punk’s injury was as bad as previously reported. He underwent surgery for it several months ago and is still in the process of rehabbing it. Just several weeks ago, he was said to have been in “bad pain.” He had been in a walking boot for weeks following the surgery.
As of this writing, CM Punk is not expected to wrestle before All Out in September.
And finally, he wasn’t kept hidden backstage prior to his return.
