As we reported yesterday here on eWn, there was an official pre-sale that was held for AEW’s debut in New York City at Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22nd. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, tickets for the pre-sale sold fairly well. Tickets for the general public will go on sale tomorrow.

During yesterday’s pre-sale, around 8,000 tickets were sold, with around 6,600 of those paid. As of now, the venue is being set up to hold 16,500 fans. It can hold up to 19,000 if needed.

For what it’s worth, WWE’s live event at Madison Square Garden on September 10th has only sold around 4,500 tickets so far. Tickets for that show have been on sale for over a week and the tickets are much lower priced.
