Fightful Select is reporting that MJF’s current AEW contract will expire on January 1, 2024.
Additionally, the report notes that this expiration date was not the original one from MJF’s first AEW contract. Instead, MJF at some point agreed to an extension to the original deal that he signed back in 2019. The extension reportedly gave MJF a significant increase in his salary.
However, it was noted that MJF feels “like he’s drastically outperformed even that deal” and as a result, the issues between MJF and Tony Khan/AEW began.
