As of now, the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is expected to begin at 7PM EST despite Ticketmaster.com listing the show as beginning at 6PM EST. Several fans recently received an email saying that fans should arrive early so as to “not miss any moment of action.” The email listed a 6PM EST start time. Despite that, the main PPV event is likely to start at 7PM EST and run for four hours or more. This may not include the “kickoff show.”
WWE also sent out several reminders to pay-per-view carriers that some shows could go past four hours when the Brand Split takes place, including the “big four” events – WrestleMania, SummerSlam, The Royal Rumble and Survivor Series.
