Pwinsider is reporting that the planned dark match for Impact Wrestling Bound for Glory 2023 was pulled to tape the Knockouts match and allot sufficient time for the Hall of Fame ceremony.
Everyone in the promotion wanted Mike Tenay to have enough time to talk about his career and honor the late Don West.
Impact Wrestling had been trying to get Tenay back for more than five years now, and some even expected him to call a match.
Additionally, several wrestlers also requested Tenay to come out of retirement.
Tenay reportedly said that the wrestlers were in good hands with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt at the announcers’ desk.
