According to a new report, there have been some preliminary internal discussions regarding the possibility of bringing Tessa Blanchard back to TNA Wrestling.

Pwinsider is reporting that there have been some early discussions within the company about bringing the former Impact Wrestling World Champion back.

While there is currently no indication that TNA has reached out to Blanchard, the talks have been taking place internally. So it’s unlikely that Blanchard is even aware that the company is interested in her at this point. Although there was some speculation among those in the company that the “Lights Out” tease last week could have been for her, that turned out to be for Matt Hardy.

Blanchard previously captured the Impact World Championship at Hard to Kill 2020. On that same day, she was accused of bullying by the likes of Chelsea Green, Big Swole, Allysin Kay, Gigi Dolin, Isla Dawn, Rebel and others. One of the accusations was that she spit in La Rosa Negra’s face at a live event in Japan in 2017. She was said to have also used a racial slur during that same incident. Blanchard denied the racial slur part of the story, but did apologize for the incident with Nega and the two have since buried the hatchet.

Blanchard was stripped of the Impact Wrestling World Championship in June of 2020 and was eventually fired after the two sides failed to reach an agreement for Blanchard to appear at Slammiversary to defend her title.
