As we saw at WrestleMania 38 (Night One) on Saturday, The Miz and Logan Paul were victorious over The Mysterios. After the match, The Miz turned on Logan Paul, laying him out with a Skull Crushing Finale.
The reason for The Miz turning on Logan Paul was to turn Paul into a babyface for a future angle. This was apparently part of the negotiations between WWE and Logan Paul prior to WrestleMania, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer said,
“When they made the deal with Logan Paul to do this angle, part of the deal was when the angle is over, he’d be a babyface. That was the idea. That was negotiated, that was negotiated in the deal.”
