Backstage Report – iMPACT! Wrestling Officials Upset With Rockstar Spud For “Jumping Ship” To WWE

According to sources, iMPACT! Wrestling officials are not happy with Rockstar Spud leaving the company and “jumping ship” to WWE. As previously reported here on, Spud is expected to make his WWE debut on next week’s WWE RAW broadcast from Providence, Rhode Island.


We previously reported that iMPACT! Wrestling spent quite a bit of money on Rockstar Spud to resolve some visa issues that were preventing him from working in the United States. One report says they spent upwards of $20,000 trying to get those issues resolved. Just two weeks after the visa issues were resolved, Spud requested his release from iMPACT! Wrestling. Several people within iMPACT! Wrestling blame the issues on an error in Spud’s paperwork that was made “during the Dixie Carter era.”

As of now, both Rockstar Spud are Hideo Itami are expected to receive big pushes on the WWE “205 Live” brand. Itami is expected to debut next week as well.
