As seen during Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown Live! broadcast, former WWE, TNA and ECW Superstar Rhyno made his return to WWE and “gored” Heath Slater. WWE also promoted the return of former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin. This has caused a lot of speculation on whether other former WWE Superstars will be returning as well.
In an update on this, Jinder Mahal and Curt Hawkins have both re-signed with the company. Mahal is expected to report to the WWE RAW brand while Hawkins will be heading to the WWE SmackDown brand.
As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, WWE has contacted numerous former Superstars about returning for the brand split. According to sources, Melina, MVP, Cryme Tyme, Carlito, Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards have all been contacted about possibly returning. Most of you know the deal with Tommy Dreamer by now.
