AEW President Tony Khan has been hyping up a huge “Forbidden Door” signing that will come in to sign a contract with AEW on Wednesday’s Dynamite, and would assumingly compete against Isiah Kassidy from Private Party in a “Face of the Revolution” Qualifying match.

As of this writing, the key frontrunners seem to be former WWE Superstars Keith Lee and/or Killer Kross. Both of them have had their 90-day no-compete clauses expiring from their prior WWE releases this past week.

Johnny Gargano would be another name but has made it clear on his social media that his focus at this time is with his family and wife, Candice LeRae, as she is going through her pregnancy and is due to give birth to their first child very soon.

Other names like John Morrison or Jeff Hardy would be considered, but both wrestlers are still legally under the 90-day no-compete clause at this time. Jeff Hardy, for example, cannot legally negotiate or speak about AEW until March 9th. John Morrison has until the end of the month before he could begin negotiating with another company, such AEW, Impact Wrestling or even NJPW.

Jay White, who is currently signed to NJPW and doing some work with Impact Wrestling as of late, has also been considered. There is one thing to remember as well, folks. Coming from Dave Meltzer, Tony Khan mentioned on social media that tomorrow’s mystery person is “signing a contract.” Meltzer added on White, “The thing is that he would not sign an AEW contract, so if the guy is coming in to sign a contract, I don’t think that’s going to be Jay White because I think he’s got a deal with New Japan, and he’s advertised for all the new New Japan — I think all the New Japan shows in the United States anyway.”

AEW Dynamite will be airing at its usual time of 8 pm (EST) on TBS.
