Rumors have been swirling about KAIRI’s return at next month’s Royal Rumble. According to an update from Dave Meltzer on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, fans shouldn’t put too much stock in those rumors.
Meltzer stated, “As of today, there is nothing to the idea of KAIRI wrestling in the Royal Rumble. There is nothing in the pipeline, zero percent in the pipeline, as of today in that direction.” Meltzer added that while WWE could negotiate the deal and request KAIRI work the Rumble, it’s not on the table at the moment. It was noted earlier in the week that the plans may have changed for KAIRI working the Rumble after she became the new inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion.
The Royal Rumble will stream live on Peacock on January 28th from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.
