As previously reported here on eWn, Sammy Guevara was pulled from the last set of Impact Wrestling TV tapings due to a disagreement over creative plans. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Impact officials came up with the idea of having Guevara take multiple beatdowns. With that being said, he was going to win his final match, but he would get beat down after it and wasn’t coming back to get revenge.
According to one source, Guevara was booked to lose a three-way match featuring Ace Austin and Chris Bey. Black Taurus wound up taking his spot in the match.
Guevara reportedly proposed winning the X division title, but Impact Wrestling officials had no plans for that to happen.
