As Andy reported earlier here on eWrestlingNews.com, Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that WWE is interested in Canadian Olympic wrestler Erica Wiebe. Wiebe, who is 27 years old, recently competed as part of Canada’s 2016 Olympic team. She defeated Guzel Manyurova to win a gold medal several weeks ago. Wiebe confirmed the WWE news during an interview with TSN Radio Vancouver.
As noted in the past, WWE has shown a lot of interest in Olympians, with reports that they were scouting fellow female Olympic wrestler Adeline Gray as well as Puerto Rican Olympic wrestler and silver medalist Jaime Espinal.
