The official Twitter account for the Barclays Center may have possibly spoiled the main event of SummerSlam. On Wednesday afternoon, the arena tweeted out an announcement that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be live in person on Monday Night Raw next week. Thus, this means that Lesnar will retain the title over Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman mentioned on Raw a few weeks ago that if Lesnar loses the title at SummerSlam, then he would leave the sports entertainment company and go back to the UFC.
It has been reported that the company was going to great lengths to make sure nobody except Lesnar knew the planned finish to the match ahead of time. That includes Reigns, Joe, Strowman and creative writers.
