WWE Superstar Bayley will be using the Sidewalk Slam, but only after getting permission from one of her favorite legends.
Bayley returned to action this month after over a year away due to a torn ACL, and has been working alongside Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
In an interview on Alyx’s World, Victoria, aka Lisa Marie Varon, discussed Bayley asking to use the move she called the Spider-Web.
“She’s such a big fan of mine. She actually texted me the other day. ‘Hey, do you mind if I take your spinning Sidewalk Slam?’ And I go ‘The Spider-Web? I’d be honored. I’d be so honored.’
“I wouldn’t be offended if anybody took [my finishing move] the Widow’s Peak. I’m not in the business anymore. It’s an homage to me, because they watched me. But Bayley is one that is just so kind and giving.”
After a run in WWE where she became Women’s Champion, Victoria joined TNA Wrestling as Tara, becoming a Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Champion.
Bayley, Kai and SKY will face RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka at WWE Clash at the Castle.
WWE Clash at the Castle will take place on September 3 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and will be the promotion’s biggest UK event since SummerSlam 1992.
