WWE RAW Superstar Becky Lynch has clarified that she was referencing AEW’s Chris Jericho with a line she used during a guest appearance on commentary last night.
During the show, Lynch was on commentary for the match between RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Asuka, which ended when Lynch interfered.
Before her interruption, Lynch called herself a “wizard” possessing superhuman powers which fans took as a reference to Jericho, who has also claimed to be a wizard.
In a tweet, Lynch tagged Jericho and said how she preferred the line:
“I’m a magician. I made her title disappear in 26 seconds.”
This is in reference to defeating Belair (then the SmackDown Women’s Champion) in seconds upon The Man’s return at SummerSlam 2021.
Belair, Lynch and Asuka will face off for the RAW Women’s Championship at this weekend’s Hell in a Cell 2022 Premium Live Event.
